Research Interest
My research examines disease, state power, warfare, and how these intersect in the eighteenth century, especially in colonial contexts. More broadly, I am interested in the relationship between war and civilians during the early modern period.
I am currently working on the history of prisoners of war during the mid-eighteenth century, and an examination of the role of disease among French troops during the Seven Years War (1756-63).
